For investors and buyers

Schools are a good asset and a hard one.

Predictable fee revenue, real estate underneath, and demand that does not vanish in a downturn. Also: a trust structure that cannot be bought, regulators in every state, and an asset whose value walks out of the gate if the teaching slips.

What we bring

  • Opportunities described honestly, including the problems
  • An academic view alongside the financial one — whether the teaching is any good
  • Clarity on structure before you spend money on diligence
  • Schools that have actually decided to do something, not ones testing the water
  • Introductions the school has agreed to, so nobody is being approached cold

What we ask of you

  • Your investment range, and whether you want control or a stake
  • Geography, and whether you would operate or appoint an operator
  • Any education experience — it changes which schools will talk to you
  • That what you see here stays with you; schools are taking a real risk in listing
The structural point, early. Most Indian schools sit inside a registered society or trust. You are generally not buying shares — you are being brought onto a governing body, or taking a management contract, or leasing a campus. The economics can be excellent; the instrument is not the one you may be used to. We would rather say this on the first page than the third meeting.

What we look at before an opportunity reaches you

Is it real?

Has the school actually decided, and does whoever we are speaking to have the authority to decide?

Is it clean?

Affiliation in good standing, no live disputes over land or control, records that exist.

Is it any good?

Enrolment trend, retention, and whether the academics are holding — the thing that decides the next five years.

We check these before making an introduction. We do not audit, and we do not stand behind anyone's numbers — your diligence is still your diligence.

A conversation can make a big difference

Tell us what you are looking for.

Range, geography, and whether you want to run it or back someone who does. We will come back when something genuinely fits, not with a mailing list.
